President Bola Tinubu has vowed
to uphold his election promise to provide a constant supply of energy across the country.
Tinubu made this re-assurance when he visited the the 350MW Gwagwalada Independent Thermal Power Plant’s (Phase 1) groundbreaking ceremony in Abuja on Friday.
According to Tinubu’s Special Advisor for Media & Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale, the President is seeking to find solutions to the myriad issues that the electric power industry’s value chain was experiencing.
Ajuri further stated that the APC-led administration is commitment to overcoming any obstacles preventing Nigeria from having a stable energy supply.
While speaking at the ceremony, Tinubu emphasised that an improved energy distribution and production are necessary for development and national growth.
He also told the NNPCL and its partners to finish the important project within the allocated time frame of three years.
Nigerians have not been enjoying stable power supply for years, as many depends on generator to power their business and houses.
