Mr. Joseph Aloba, the father of Ilerioluwa Aloba, a popular musician known as Mohbad who died recently, has denied allegations that he facilitated an escape for Owodunni Ibrahim aka Primeboy after the demise of his son.
In response to what Bosede Adeyemo said in a recent interview, Mr. Aloba clarified that he hadn’t been in contact with Primeboy again since the incident happened.
Adeyemo had earlier claimed that her ex-husband ordered Primeboy, a long time friend of Mohbad to run away so as not to be arrested or implicated in the artist’s death at his youthful age.
On the other hand, a statement by Mr. Aloba’s lawyer Monisola Odumosu issued on Friday revealed that Mr. Aloba’s only meeting with Primeboy after the tragic event was at the coroner’s court session.
“The client explains that he never talked to Primrboy or discussed anything about his son’s death or related issues ever since Ilerioluwa Aloba died,” said part of the statement.
The statement added that only time they spoke since the incident was during a public appearance at the morgue where they only greeted each other.
The statement that also addressed Ms. Adeyemo’s claims stated that Mr Aloba had been pushing for justice for his son who died just one year after he left Marlian Music,a record label owns by Azeez Fashola aka Naira Marley.
It added, “Mr Joseph is committed to examining what went wrong and would not protect anybody including Primeboy. He takes this opportunity to urge Primeboy to give Coroner Court a full, unedited account of what he knows.”
