The Department of State Services (DSS) has arrested the President of Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore, Bello Bodejo, on Tuesday for reportedly raising a vigilante group in Nasarawa State.
GistReporters.com gathered that the President was arrested by the DSS operatives at the gate of the Miyetti Allah Head Office, Tundun Maliya Cattle Market, at Kilometre 22, Abuja-Keffi Expressway, Tundun-Wada area, in Karu L.G.A. of Nasarawa State.
On Tuesday, at about 3:40 pm, operatives of the DSS and soldiers of the Nigerian Army raided the Head Office of Miyetti Allah, close to the Goshen Church, and whisked Bodejo away.
Saturday Punch reports that a source within the DSS confirmed the arrest of Bodejo, saying his group had the potentials to incite violence across the country. His group is illegal, the source disclosed, because it was not registered with the DSS, the police, and others, and so could not be recognized by the Federal Government.
Punch zonline’s source said, “(DSS) operatives and Soldiers of the Nigerian Army stormed the Miyetti Allah’s head office in Nasarawa this afternoon, and we have arrested their National President, Bello Bodejo, for creating a vigilante group that is not recognised by the government.”.
“The creation of that nomad’s vigilante group could precipitate violence in the country. The group was not registered with the DSS, the Police, or another security agency, and the group is not recognised by the Federal Government.”
