Mabel Makun, wife of the famous Nigerian stand-up comedian AY, has stated that her recent silence about their separation should not be misunderstood because she hopes for a brighter future.
She also expressed regret that her dream of living with one man forever had taken a different course.
She revealed this in an Instagram post on Wednesday, thanking her relatives and friends for their supportive words at this time.
Mabel announced parenthood with someone she lived with for many years, deserves some respect despite their breakup.
“Many lies have been told against me, and there has been a smear campaign online but I decide to keep quiet for the sake of my kids dignity from these tales”.
“Apart from divorcing my marriage to last forever, I am committed to moving on in self-respect and bravery.
“I still believe in a better future for myself and my children. Regardless of gossip or public opinion, it is comforting to know all will be well in the end.
.This is unexpected for the journey to end this way, yet I ask for guidance from within, silently, as I embark on this new chapter of my life.
“Additionally, as we assimilate into this new change, I implore you to help me develop an environment of respect and compassion. It’s tough presently and all I ask is privacy and understanding in these trying times as we go our separate ways (my ex-husband and myself) without forgetting my best wishes for his success on this trip.”
AY admitted the situation in a statement that he dropped yesterday on April 7th 2024 which appeared on his Instagram page.
“I have reached a point where it is no longer appropriate for me to share ‘personal family matters’ with the public,”
November 2008 saw AY tie the knot with Mabel Makun who has two kids with him.
