The Federal Government has hit Godwin Emefiele with new charges, and requested that the initial possession of gun be dropped.
Director of Public Prosecutions at the Federal Ministry of Justice Mohammed Bakodo Abubakar, who made this public, disclosed in an oral motion to the federal high court in Ikoyi that the withdrawal was the result of fresh investigations.
All Legit News, gathered that a fresh 20 charges has been included in the case against the suspended Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria at the Federal High Court in Abuja.
This latest charges was disclosed by Abubakar to reporters in a press conference after the day’s events.
Recall, the DSS had filed a two-count charge bordering of “illegal possession of firearms” at a Federal High Court in Ikoyi, Lagos. He was granted bail, but the secret police kept him in their custody.
