A Deputy Commissioner of Police at the Force Criminal and Investigation Department (FCID) Alagbon, Lagos State, Mr. Gbolahan Oyedemi was found dead in his house yesterday morning in Ogbomoso, Oyo State suspected to be a case of suicide.
According to Punch Online, Oyedemi had earlier served as an Aide de Camp (ADC) to the former late Governor of Oyo State, Adebayo Alao-Akala during his short reign in 2006.
The news outlet on Tuesday reported that a source who spoke with ifs correspondent on condition of anonymity added that it has been a norm for Mr. Gbolahan Oyedemi to visit his home town whenever it is Easter period but this time around he asked his aides to spend the Eater holiday with their families.
“We are sad because he committed suicide. We went to his house and met him motionless lying lifeless at home. He lives alone and always comes back home for Easter holiday. However, different from before, he had directed his workers to also join their families as they celebrate. The reasons behind such tragic decision are not clear.”
