Temitope Ajayi, the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, has reacted to the remark of former Minister of Education Oby Ezekwesili after Chicago State University released President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s academic record on Tuesday.
Ajayi strongly critized Ezekwesili’s remark regarding the controversy surrounding the academic records at Chicago State University.
In response to a US Court in Chicago granting former Vice President Atiku Abubakar’s request to access Tinubu’s academic records, Ezekwesili taunted the President on social media.
In her tweet, Ezekwesili questioned why Tinubu didn’t proactively release his academic credentials to avoid the embarrassment of the CSU court case.
Her post on X read: “How so much easier it would have been for Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu to have saved the country and people the embarrassment of this Chicago State University – CSU court case by instantly and voluntarily asking the institution to publish his academic credentials!
“How difficult could that have been? How so less traumatic such exemplary disclosure to remove all doubts would have been for Nigerians.”
Tinubu’s aide, Ajayi, swiftly responded to Ezekwesili, labeling her intervention in public affairs as reckless and indisciplined, and accusing her of exploiting any opportunity to garner attention.
Ajayi wrote, “”In a manner typical of her, she has jumped on the Atiku Abubakar’s groundless Chicago State University matter in deference to her base instincts.
“Every matter is an opportunity for Madam Oby to play to the gallery.
“Having attained certain level and public status in life, a measure of decorum is expected.”
Recall, Justice Jeffrey Gilbert had ordered CSU to provide Tinubu’s academic records to the President rival during the February 25 presidential election..
