Manchester United have confirmed in a statement that Mason Mount will miss the club’s next two matches and he is expected to return after the international break.
Mount, who joined United for a £65 million deal from Chelsea this summer, sustained an injury during the Red Devils’ 2-0 defeat at Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday.
Due to the injury, according to Man United, the midfielder is likely to miss out of Saturday’s match against Nottingham Forest, as well as the club’s September 3rd away clash against lady season running up Arsenal.
United’s statement partly read: The small complaint is expected to keep (Mason) Mount out until the international break next month.”
Mount was substituted in the 87th minutes of Saturday’s game at Tottenham for the club academy product Facundo Pellistri.
The England international also remain doubt for the Three Lions’ upcoming game — Euro 2024 qualifier avast Ukraine, and a froemdlyatch with Scotland at Hampden Park.
