The Lagos State Police Command, On Thursday, announced the exhumation of the body of late singer Ilerioluwa Aloba, better known as Mohbad.
Following the exhumation, the police announced plans for an autopsy.
Mohbad’s recent demise has sparked concerns, with accusations aimed at his former boss Afeez Fashola, aka Naira Marley, and his pal Sam Larry.
All Legit News has gathered that there have been disputes among distant relatives regarding his estate shortly after his passing.
The singer’s swift burial has also generated tension among Nigerians. He was laid to rest just a day after his passing in the Ikorodu area of Lagos. However, his father clarified that it aligned with Yoruba customs.
In response to these events, Nigerian youth have organized peaceful protests to demand justice.
Both the Nigerian police and Lagos police command have pledged to investigate his untimely death. Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has also invited the Department of State Service to join the investigation..
Lagos police spokesperson Ben Hundeyin confirmed in a statement on Thursday that the exhumation of the former Marlian Music signee’s body and announced that the autopsy would follow.
He wrote on X, “Exhumation completed. Autopsy to commence.”
