The Ghanaian film industry mourns the loss of Vincent McCauley, a celebrated actor who died after undergoing brain surgery in South Africa.
GistReporters.com learnt that McCauley passed away on Monday, January 15, 2024.
His family, who broke the news in a statement on Friday, expressed gratitude to God for his “glorious magnificent transition” into the presence of God Almighty.
Vincent McCauley rose to fame for his role as Max in the hit TV show ‘Things We Do For Love’.
He also starred in various movies, such as ‘You Only Live Once’ (YOLO), Games People Play, Fortune Island, Office Palava, Living With Trisha: House of Secrets, and The Idiot and I.
Nadia Buari, a fellow Ghanaian actress, expressed her grief on her X account on Saturday.
“This news is such a hard pill for me to swallow. 💔… I met Vincent on the set of ‘Who owns the city’ about 14yrs ago.
“He was so radiant, a breath of fresh air and was always very bubbly. I’ll always remember the way his eyes sparkled whenever he mentioned my name and the way he laughed at my senseless jokes on set.
“Rest in peace, Vinny..and good luck with your mission in the other world,” she wrote.
McCauley leaves behind his wife, whom he wedded in 2017.
