A complaint filed by the Peoples Democratic Party candidate in the February 25 presidential election, Atiku Abubakar, has been dismissed by a circuit judge in Cook County, Illinois, the United States of America.
Atiku filed the lawsuit in order to seek President Bola Tinubu’s academic records from Chicago State University.
Ahead of the general elections, Tinubu stated in his form that he had a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with honours.
Beverly Poindexter, who is in charge of official transcript requests, enrollment confirmation, and degree verification at the CSU Office of the Registrar, backed up the president’s claim, but some individuals weren’t convinced.
The PDP candidate had summoned the univershity in effort to gain access to Tinubu’s CSU record. However, it was asserted that before the hearing date, Atiku withdrew the petition from the court.
During the February 25 general election, Atiku emerged second, while Peter Obi of Labour Party came third.
