After a three-month medical vacation in Germany Governor Rotimi Akeredolu of Ondo State returned to Nigeria today, Thursday 7th of Septber 2023.
Akeredolu arrived at his residence in Ibadan, Oyo State and he is expected to meet members of Ondo state Executive Council and top party leaders there.
All Legit News has gathered that the governor is expected to stay in Ibadan for several weeks before resuming full work duties.
He departed the country for Germany in June — his stay was later extended after an approval came from his state House of Assembly.
Announcing the governor’s arrival, First Lady Betty Anyanwu-Akeredolu shared a photo on Facebook which eventually went viral on social media.
According to Vanguard, a close source to the governor conformed that the he had returned and would meet with his executive members in Ibadan on Friday.
Akeredolu, who will write to the state House of Assembly before resuming full duties, also congratulated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on the verdict of the Presidential Election Petitions Tribunal, PEPT, which upheld his victory in the February 25 Presidential Election.
According to him, the judgement is a reaffirmation of democratic values, while calling for unity and support for the All Progressive Congress-led administration Renewed Hope agenda.
Akeredolu also urging Nigerians to avoid divisive politics and comments that could harm national unity.
