Host Communities of Oil Mining Licence (OML 25) embarked on another protest and Press Conference against SPDC

With the continuous agitations from the people of Belema, Ofoinma and Ngeje the host Communities of the Oil Mining Licence (OML, 25) against the Shell Petroleum Development Company (SPDC) deepeings, they have again decided to engage in another Protest/Press Conference to still insist the company must vacate there land for there unfair treatment to there people.

They described SPDC to be heartless and has seriously bedevilled there land. That it’s time for SPDC to flee there land as they have done more harm than good to the communities for over forty years of there operations in there land.

The people agitates and want to enjoy the good enjoyed by the host communities of OML 55. They demand that SPDC should highlight one project or individual it has executed or employed respectively from it’s host communities.

It is highly interesting to note that Belema, Offoinma and Ngeje Communities has peacefully shut down and occupied the OML 25 platform to bar and cry for the vacation of SPDC in there land they are of no use and possible divest it to an indigenous Company.
