Governor Nyesom Wike sacks Commissioner of Power Rivers State
Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike has sacked the State Commissioner of Power, Hon Shedrach Chukwu.
In a statement released by the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on electronic Media, Simeon Nwakaudu, The Governor directed the sacked commissioner to submit all Government Documents and Property in his possession to the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Power.
In another development, concerned groups loyal to Prince Isaac Umejuru, former CTC Chairman and current liaison officer of Ogba-Egbema-Ndoni LGA are calling on the Governor to consider appointing Isaac Umejuru as commissioner in his 2nd time in office. The groups said Umejuru is capable and understands the game style of the NEW Rivers Project.
In the side lines, concerned groups in OGBA Ethnic Nationality is crying woo that the LGA has not benefitted much from the Wike led government.
A community right activist from the area Amb. Bright Abali, took on his Facebook timely to describe the sack of Chukwu as another victimization of the OGBA Nation and appeal to Gov. WIKE to do more for OGBA as the major contributor of the state allocation.
