Chief (Amb) Odili Victor Ifeanyi Attends Gov. Wike’s Security Architectural Launch In Port Harcourt

The Sharks Stadium Port Harcourt was full with highly placed stakeholders as His Excellency, Chief (Barr.) Ezenwo Nyesom Wike (CON), the Executive Governor of Rivers State launches sophisticated military hard wares to tackle insecurity in the state, under the stable of Operation Sting.

This initiative becomes imperative, following the high spate of crimes, ranging from incessant killings, kidnappings, armed Robbery and other forms of criminality in the state in the recent time.

In their remarks, both the state Commissioner of Police and the the Garrison Commander of the Nigerian Army in Rivers State, lauded the Security approach and jointly promised to provide more scientific methods of crime fight against the hoodlums and to guarantee peace and security in the state.

In his address, the Governor stated that Security of life and property is the primary duty of any Government.
He therefore stressed the readiness of the state Govt to square ly combat crimes, both on land and on the waterways, which he said has been a safe heaven for Pirates, because of the hitherto under policing of the water ways.


He charged all the Security Agencies to do their best, using the rare security logistics provided by the Govt to surmount all security Challenges in the state.

He also revealed that there will be a central communication hub throughout the state for connectivity and that the Government is prepared to care for the family of men and officers who might fall in the line of duty.

The high point of the ceremony was the inspection and commissioning of the galaxy of different security Wares, which include fully equipped Hilux vans, speedy Gun boats among others.
